The numbers of Music: an industry to be discovered

We’ll be in Milano for the Milano Music Week with our panel “I numeri della Musica: un’industria da scoprire” (“The numbers of Music: an industry to be discovered”), proposed and organised by Machiavelli Music. It will take place on Tuesday, November 22nd at 6pm as part of Milano Music Week, in partnership with Spaces Works.

The talk, free upon booking through Eventbrite, will involve several experts in the music and industry sectors and will be hosted by Spaces - Porta Nuova - Bastioni di Porta Nuova 21, Quartiere Porta Garibaldi. We will talk about the importance and value of music, with an approach that looks at both everyday life and national and international economic impacts. We will address the issue of music rights and explore its significance with an analysis of the record industry's numbers. We will dwell on curiosities and interconnections to parallel the music industry with finance and new blockchain technologies. Analysing the historical changes and the main transformations of the industry, the debate will also be an opportunity to look at the future of music.

For 7 days a year, Milan welcomes hundreds of artists and artists, more than 100 content partners, who will propose more than 160 events located in about 65 locations that open their doors to citizens and professionals offering all kinds of activities: from concerts to workshops, through record and book presentations, films, meetings with artists, DJ sets and much more. Milano Music Week is a popular project aimed not only at music fans and enthusiasts, but also at industry professionals and those aspiring to become insiders, who in that week can make contacts, learn and keep up to date.
The Milano Music Week was born in 2017 out of the desire of the City of Milan, Assomusica, FIMI, Nuovo Imaie and SIAE to dedicate an entire week to music and its market, in a city that has always lived from concerts and musical events.
